Today is the 62nd anniversary of the 1947 flight of Howard Hughes' HK-1 flying boat, aka the "Spruce Goose."

You mean the Hercules???? don't you??? Howard's legacy has contribuited to your fame and fortune, the least you could do is not diss his accomplishments like a yellow journalist!
Yes, H-4, Hercules, flying boat — and Spruce Goose to his critics. You know, I'm sure, that "Spruce Goose" is used liberally at the museum in Oregon where the plane is on display.
Sorry, it's HK-1, not H-4. Not sure where that came from!
