More than one way for a man's name to live on long after his death! His foresight allowed us to have DNA research benefits, satellite technology, kidney dialysis (invented by one of his companies before he died of kidney failure (ironic hey?)), and a host of other progressive technologies. His best legacy he has saved for last however!
"When we arrived at our hotel, the Luxor, the check-in line looked as if it would take 45 minutes," Konigsberg writes. "Coben e-mailed Reid's office, and it took about a minute for a secretary to call the hotel and arrange for a VIP check-in and a room upgrade." And you didn't get this treatment for your book signings??? Welllll!
Just joshing ya, I agree with your analysis. I wrote an expose with detailed documentation once of a big oil company. The editor was ecstatic! But didn't publish it! I later noticed that this oil company was buying scads of FULL PAGE ADDS in the paper. That was my education in playing the game their way!
Tell them the truth! It may hurt but it'll hurt more later.
I did one of those with a safety clown presentation. Was interesting, I just lectured them on getting into cars with strangers and then pretended to pull up to school and said, "You mom's told me to pick you guys up." Know what? Three ran over and pretended to get in the car. Kids are just too innocent for their own good sometimes. I lectured mine so much, they didn't trust anyone and that's sad too!
Speaking of the life of Hughes after death, I just drove 2000 miles through Nevada, AZ, Utah etc interviewing people. Some worked in Las Vegas and some people connected with Hughes. (Amazing how after a bad divorce, a former wife will tell you ANYTHING about a formerly secretive person). Had an especially interesting time with a certain former manager of a Hughes enterprise, who knew Hughes personally while Hughes was still alive. Got the feeling that the manager was a real stand up guy.
Some interesting stuff in Winnemuca and Walker lake especially, but of course I can't tell you because we can't talk unless you can publish every word?
Area 51 was a total dud, didn't see a single alien carcass (and I looked). Those white patrol trucks sure keep close watch! Just trying to do their jobs. Looked to me like they had some pretty heavy duty artillery mounted in those square beds.
Do they really think those huge buildings (and other things) are camouflaged??) Storage for all the gov secrets, I wouldn't be surprised if one of those wooden boxes held all the stuff that disappeared from Romaine and Paul Winn couldn't find! lol Yucca Mountain is just, welllll yucky! Forsaken dry hole. Best thing about Tonapah was the old mining equipment. I never saw anywhere else where they allow mining so close to residence? Yeeesh!
This is the only way I can talk to you without exposing myself, and I don't trust you enough yet to do so without a confidentiality agreement.
The real Tesla punk, was the fact that he (Nicolas Tesla, GE is based on his inventions), was broadcasting electricity through the air 35 miles at CO Springs before WWII. Strange we still haven't figured out how to get rid of the transmission lines when he had it figured out in the 40's. Of course moving all his records to Yugoslavia after his death kinda obscured it worse. There's actually a documentary on the history channel about this.
FYI: he already had superconductivity figured out in the 40's too!
The Howard Hughes toenails post was a low blow, Considering all his crashes, codeine addiction, infections and untreated manic depression, I don't think making fun of him is a humane thing to do, even if it is popular in today's press.
Ask yourself if making fun of the horse in the cited article would be a humane thing to do. You do know Howard was in the same condition as the horse? What does that say about his "Caretakers"??? Why weren't the "certified medical personnel" prosecuted???
You are still listening to the propaganda of those who let him die of neglect(or maybe even worse). Does the generalization of the care of the horse also apply to a human???
The retarded have better defenders than Howard. Thought you had more class, Geoff but guess you're just interested in sensationalism like the rest of the yellow press. You've lost this fan.
